39. Siem Reap

Siem Reap might not be Malaysian favourite travel destination. I am not really sure why i chose this place to travel in first place. Moreover, we bought our ticket a year in advance. We bought the ticket atreally bargain price. We went fro 8 Oct 2016 - 11 Oct 2016.  I must admit that we chose the wrong month to go as it was in Rainy season. Out of 4 days we were there, it was raining for almost everyday. Nevertheless, it is up to us to make it worthwhile.

The bright side of it gonna be our hotel was upgraded from double bedroom to family suite. We stayed at Suon Angkor Boutique for the whole trip for only $ 91. Clearly we are really grateful. On top of that, they also allocated a driver per room and it is free to travel from hotel to the city area. We just have to pay $2 for our way back.

We filled our first day with leg massage which it was extraordinarily cheap. They only cost $ 2 for an hour. Plus, it was smashingly good. Where in Malaysia that we get RM8 per hour massage? We certainly occupied our 3 days with leg massage. There will be no exception. Lucky for me cause Nadia loved it too.

In order to join the troop of chasing the morning sun by Angkor Watt. Sobs.. Sobs. We woke up at 4 a.m. Right after Subuh but it was too cloudy and we cant even see the sunrise. (I should just stay in bed). It was packed with people. All we did were.. wait there and had our breakfast as per packed by the hotel. Aint the hotel awesome? So, there how our second day starts and end as well i must say. Second day was Angkor Watt Day .

We went to every area of Angkor Watt. There was many  breath taking scene but it was covered by millions of raindrop. As i said. It was in rainy season in Oct , it was raining cats and dogs . Non Stop &&  we cant really take photo. Sobs.. Sobs..

We continued our trip to army museum & floating village the next day . It made me guilty and grateful at the same time,  both emotion juggle in my head. How much i complained all this while about my life. I have to be grateful as they had it worse than mine. Be grateful. That definitely my biggest lesson learnt there.

They had just recovered from war last few years but they seem so positive and enthusiastic about life. Even they discovered last piece of active bomb less than 20 years. It still new and fresh. Always be grateful in whatever we had.

As those need to search for halal food? Their food taste excellent, especially "Lembu Naik Bukit" and "Ikan Morning Glory". There was only 2 of us & there was 4 people serving. Nevertheless, we finished it all. Seriously . Delicious. So, make sure everyone that wanna go to Siem Reap to try this out .

after all this trip just a relaxing trip. we had good food, good relaxing time and good, cheap massage. Certainly not such pain for wallet. It might not fulfil my shopping desire but it worth a try .
